Professor Greg Tripoli is the author of UW-NMS. He has over 20 years of experience with numerical weather prediction
models earning his Masters degree from Florida State in 1974 and his Ph.d from Colorado State in 1986. He jointed the
faculty of the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Department at UW-Madison in 1987.
Mr. Wilt worked under Professor Tripoli from 1992-1994. Their collaborative efforts helped to produce

model, implemented by Weather Central, Inc. Tripoli continues to work with Wilt and WCC to advance
and perfect the UW-NMS/NAMS code.
