Weather Connections Launches Weather DepotSM, Desktop Weather Software for Online Weather Information Seekers and Enthusiasts
Madison, Wisconsin September 24, 2003 - Weather Connections Corporation, a leading provider of weather forecasting technology and Internet software applications, announces the official public launch of its Weather DepotSM software. The Weather DepotSM software application enables users to access current weather conditions, radar imagery, specific hour-by-hour forecasts for their zip code, as well as view numerous "TV type" weather maps – all in an easy-to-use, self-contained software application.
Optimizing weather forecasting technology initially developed by University of Wisconsin professor, Dr. Greg Tripoli, and currently in use at over 250 TV stations across the country, Weather DepotSM delivers useful, precise, and accurate weather forecasts. Unlike most forecasts available on the Internet, Weather DepotSM provides specific answers to the most challenging weather forecast questions such as: precipitation type, timing, and amounts, as well as detailed extended range forecasts.

Current Weather DepotSM releases are for users in the contiguous United States running Windows operating systems (Windows 98 and later). Future releases in development include industry-specific and international versions, including Canada.
